The Luna Hotel, the world’s oldest hotel, is about to open its first ever luxury hotel.
The luxury hotel will have three floors and its grand opening is scheduled for May.
Lying at the intersection of two of the country’s busiest highways, the Luna will have more than 500 rooms.
The hotel will be built on an industrial site on the outskirts of Chennai.
Larger hotels such as the Sheraton and Hilton have also opened on the same site.
Luna Hotel’s first-floor suites have been designed by renowned architect KK Bhatia.
It is also being built on the site of a former military barracks.
The hotel will open in April 2019 and is expected to be the largest hotel in India.
